Institutional Update – Financial Information Unit (UIF Argentina)

Today, the resignation of **Dr. Paul Starc** as President of the **Financial Information Unit (UIF)** was announced for personal reasons, along with the appointment of **Ernesto Gaspari**, who holds degrees in Business Administration and Public Accounting, as the new head of the agency.

The UIF plays a **central role in Argentina’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing system**, acting as the country’s **financial intelligence authority**, a **supervisory body in these matters**, and a **key institution for coordination with international standards and organizations**.
